Just a few days after it was previewed, Audi pulled the cover from the 2nd generation A7 Sportback. Mr. Audi said the sophisticated five-door liftback boasts more styles than the predecessor and also features A8’s flagship brand sedan. Like the rest of the new Audi range, it will ride the MLB II Evo platform that will support a lot of Volkswagen Auto Group’s future high-end cars.Despite the preview of Marc Lichte at the end of last year, an entirely new A7 Sportback gains stronger and more aggressive front facia. There is a new LED light sign, and even a slim and slim “Singeframe” grill. Complementing the front facia is a unique hood with creases in the middle and side. Each variant of the A7 Sportback comes with its own styling touch of S Line that functions as a sporty version of lift back.On the other hand, both sides are shaped like a queen. There is also a frameless window, there is also a door mounted side mirror. As with the previous model, the tip tapers at the rear end. There is also a retractable spoiler that extends at 120 km / h. A flat light strip connects the rear light, and its taillight consists of 13 vertical segments. Audi is proud to say that there is almost no chromium on the exterior of the A7 Sportback.
According to Audi, the interior is characterized by a “clean and highly designing design language”, which is peculiar to A7. The double layer dashboard displays the flat surface up and the curve in the middle section. The face of the dash is finished in shiny black color, and above the trim there is a slim air conditioning vent. Also, the infotainment touch screen is flush with the fascia of the dashboard. Finally, the air conditioning control screen is located just under the infotainment system and provides a buttonless design for the driver interface. The new A7 Sportback features a total of 39 driver assistance systems divided into three packages: Audi AI parking package, City Assist package with new traverse assist, Tour assist package. The latter includes efficiency assistants that promote driving habits to reduce consumption and adaptive driving assistant (ADA) that supplements adaptive cruise control (ACC) with steering intervention to help maintain lanes. All driver assistance systems have an improved control mechanism. Some of these functions are gradually introduced after 2018. At first, an entirely new A7 Sportback will be powered by a 3.0 liter V6 of a turbocharger with 340 PS and 500 Nm torque. Additional 6-cylinder and 4-cylinder engines for both petrol and diesel will continue immediately after production begins. There will also be hybrid models that will add to this range in the future.
