Despite being the smallest and cheapest VW you can by, it still contains top-notch quality materials and the 2016 update kept it as class leader. The up! has impressed us so much that it even won best city car in our 2017 New Car Awards. It may share a lot with jits sibling cars from Skoda and SEAT (the Citigo and Mii respectively), but the up! remains to one to choose.

The Nissan Qashqai changed the car market when it was introduced back in 2006 as one of the first crossovers. Its high driving position, practicality and reasonable costs meant it became a hit with families. Although the crossover market has now become intensely crowded in recent years with cars such as the Peugeot 3008 and Mazda CX-5, the Qashqai is still one of the very best.

The SEAT Ateca is a crossover keen to cash in on the Qashqai’s territory. While the Qashqai is now an established favourite, the Ateca is a relative new boy although can easily go toe-to-toe with its older rivals, it even won our Crossover of the Year Award in 2016. The sharp design also makes the SEAT stand out amongst the sea of crossovers available.

The Jaguar XJ received a much-needed facelift in 2015 that brought in new trims and design tweaks. Despite the looks, it falls short of the Mercedes S-Class as it provides less space, while the ride is firmer than rivals. Jaguar is offering the XJ on zero per cent finance, contributing £12,000 towards the cost of the car.

The BMW M4 Coupe is available with a 0% finance deal and this even includes the Competition Pack spec version. Like the XJ, the M4 is an expensive choice but the fact that a sport car is available on this finance deal shows that it’s worth looking around different manufacturers and sectors if your budget allows.

Audi A8: £589 per month

£589 per month with a £11,792.10 deposit (0 per cent APR)

We end this list with another interesting choice. The Audi A8 is a car you may not think would be available with 0% finance but it is the only Audi with this deal. Admittedly, it is still rather expensive with monthly payments of £589 but this shows that not every car that has a 0% finance deal is a family car or a supermini.
